Thermal diffusion and convection induced in chloroaluminum phthalocyanine-ethanol by a CW He-Ne laser

► We have measured the transmittance of ClAlPc-ethanol in two experimental geometries. ► We identify absorption-induced thermal diffusion and convection from the measurements. ► Absorption arises mainly from repetitive excited state excitation.
