Viscosity of low volume concentrations of magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles dispersed in ethylene glycol and water mixture

► Magnetic nanoparticles were synthesized and an average particle size was found as 11.42 nm. ► Ethylene glycol and water mixture is considered as a base fluid. ► The pH of the base fluid is observed as five for well dispersion of the nanoparticles. ► Viscosity increases with increase of particle volume concentration and decreases with temperature.
