Determination of the chiral indices of tungsten disulfide (WS2) nanotubes by electron diffraction

► An electron diffraction method is described to obtain the chiral indices of nanotubes. ► The chiral indices of each shell of a compound WS2 nanotube are determined. ► The WS2 nanotube is nearly mono-helical with a small dispersion of helicity.
