Preparation of SERS-active substrates using thermal inkjet technology

► Silver nanoparticles film as SERS substrate were prepared using thermal inkjet technology. ► Dependence of SERS intensity with number of depositions correlates well with morphological evolution of the films. ► Enhancement factor of up to 9.0 × 1012 was observed.
