The structural and electronic properties of small osmium clusters (2-14): A density functional theory study

► The structure and electronic properties of small Os clusters up to 14 atoms were explored. ► Os clusters form cubic-like structure which similar trend can be seen in Ru. ► Os clusters have a potential to be a better catalyst than Ru clusters. ► Even-numbered Os clusters favor anti-magnetic state.
