Laser induced fluorescence study of the B∼-X∼ transition of FCH2CH2O

► Halogen substituted alkoxy radicals likely play a role in tropospheric chemistry. ► The first electronic spectrum is reported for a halo-alkoxy radical. ► An analysis of the B∼-X∼ excitation spectrum of FCH2CH2O is reported. ► Values for the X∼ state rotational and spin rotation constants are determined. ► B∼ state origin, vibrational frequencies and rotational constants are determined.
