An approximate quantum mechanical study of the N + O → NO+ + e− associative ionisation

► We have performed a wavepacket calculation on the N + O associative ionization. ► We calculate probabilities and cross sections for each vibrational level and collision energy. ► Structures are seen in the curves which can be traced to the time dependent process. ► Complementary pictures in the time and energy domain are obtained.
