Photoelectron imaging of CH−

► The photoelectron spectrum of CH− was recorded and earlier assignments have been reconsidered. ► The electron affinity of CH X2Π is 1.26 ± 0.02 eV. ► The a4Σ− electron binding energy is 1.98 ± 0.02 eV.
