Laser-initiated iodine radical chemistry in single microdroplets

► I atom radical reactions are followed in single liquid microdroplets of iodododecane. ► The product of the radical recombination, I2, changes the optical properties of the droplet. ► Raman spectroscopy is used to follow the formation of I2. ► Using this technique it should be possible to measure kinetics in single liquid microdroplets.
