Collective and molecular motions of fluorinated liquid crystals by means of 19F Fast Field-Cycling NMR relaxometry

► 19F FFC-NMR relaxometry was applied to study the dynamics of a fluorinated nematogen. ► Relaxation dispersion analyses gave insights into collective and overall motions. ► Parameters for collective and tumbling motions in the nematic phase were determined. ► Collective fluctuations were also found in the isotropic phase.
