Influence of CdSe quantum dot interlayer on the performance of polymer/TiO2 nanorod arrays hybrid solar cell

► CdSe quantum dots were introduced as an interlayer in the P3HT/TiO2 nanorod arrays hybrid solar cells. ► CdSe interlayer provides enhanced light absorption and charge-carrier transfer efficiency. ► The efficiency of P3HT/CdSe/TiO2 nanorod arrays cell is greatly higher than that of P3HT/TiO2 cell.
