Homonuclear site-specific photochemistry by an ion-electron multi-coincidence spectroscopy technique

► A highly efficient multi-particle coincidence spectroscopy technique is presented. ► An effective tool for site-specific photochemistry is demonstrated. ► Molecular fragmentation for different chemical environments is studied. ► The classical ESCA molecule ethyl trifluoroacetate is studied with this new tool. ► New vistas in the extension of site-specific photochemistry are opened up.
