EPR and magnetic studies of a novel copper metal organic framework (STAM-I)

► New metal organic framework is synthesised. ► The copper paddle-wheel building unit of the MOF gives arise to an excited triplet state which is detectible by cw EPR. ► The copper in the dimer units are strongly coupled with an antiferromagnetic exchange coupling.
