Tunneling behavior of bismuth telluride nanoplates in electrical transport

► We study I-V characteristics of chemically synthesized Bi2Te3 nanoplates. ► A symmetric tunneling behavior is observed consistent with a simple Hamiltonian. ► A two-step tunneling behavior is also observed due to disorder.
