Steady state and femtosecond spectroscopy of Perylimide Red dye in porous and sol-gel glasses

► Optical properties of glasses were studied under continuous and femtosecond excitation. ► At laser excitation we observe excimer formation in porous but not in sol-gel glasses. ► We compare optical behavior of dye in porous and in inorganic sol-gel glasses.
