Temperature-induced oscillating electric dipole in conjugated systems

► This work presents a new and general mechanism to describe conjugated polymers. ► The presented model predicts an oscillating electric dipole in a PA oligomer. ► The oscillating electric dipole converts thermal power into near infrared photons. ► Infrared photons are characterized as function of the heat bath temperature.
