Optical Jahn-Teller effect in the case of local modes and phonons

► Jahn-Teller effect in twofold degenerate or quasifold-degenerate excited electronic state is studied. ► Nontotally symmetric local modes and phonons are taken into account. ► Optical spectra are calculated in the Debye-Van Hove model of phonons.
