Disruption of small double stranded DNA molecules on carbon nanotubes: A molecular dynamics study

► Molecular dynamics simulations on double-stranded DNA attached to SWCNTs. ► SWCNT accelerates the disruption of short dsDNA sequences, which stick the nanotube. ► Longer dsDNA attached to SWCNT do not melt on the short time scale simulated. ► The interaction between SWCNT and dsDNA induces a destabilization in longer dsDNA.
