Thermal chemiluminescence spectroscopy of amino acids and its salts using a multichannel Fourier-transform spectrometer

► Luminescence spectroscopy was applied to glycine, alanine, serine and threonine. ► Their dicyclohexylamine salts showed strong thermal luminescence bands. ► CH3 and OH groups on the side chain induced blue and red shifts, respectively. ► Luminescence spectroscopy could be established as a new molecular spectroscopy.
