Shear and bulk viscosity in stable and metastable states of a Lennard-Jones liquid

► The shear and bulk viscosity of LJ liquid is calculated for 151 states. ► Calculations have been made both for stable and metastable states of the liquid. ► The shear viscosity shows an essential increase in the region of supercooled states. ► The bulk viscosity increases for both supercooled and superheated liquid states. ► The characteristic times of the viscoelastic relaxation have been investigated.
