Structures of the xylose-water complex: Energetics, transitions between conformers and spectroscopy

► Ph-β-d-xylose-H2O has four low energy minima, separated by low barriers. ► The four minima are stable at 40 K, but rapidly interconvert at 300 K. ► Two isomers give very good agreement with the spectrum in the beam experiment.
