Energy transfer to xanthene dyes in dansylated POPAM dendrimers

► EET in POPAM dendrimer xanthene dye host-guest complexes was studied. ► EET times vary from 100 fs to 8 ps due to range of donor-acceptor distances. ► The rate of host-guest EET almost independent of guest dye and dendrimer generation. ► Excitation relaxation depends on dye and dendrimer generation. ► Efficient guest to guest EET in complexes having multiple guests.
