Modification of long range order in germanate glass by ultra fast laser

► We report a qualitative change in laser processing by changing objective lens. ► We first time found long-range-order in inorganic glass without crystallization. ► We use the model similar to liquid crystals to describe the ordered glass. ► We found a new similarity between inorganic glass and polymers.
