Molecular simulations of the competitive adsorption of siloxanes and water on amorphous silica surfaces as a function of temperature

► The adsorption of PDMS is sensitive to small changes in surface characteristics. ► Vapor pressure is enhanced at low temperatures and depressed at high temperatures. ► The adsorption of water on silica is not affected much by the presence of PDMS. ► However, the adsorption of PDMS on silica is affected by the presence of water.
