Peculiarities of light-induced slow protein dynamics in the photosynthetic reaction center

► Charge recombination kinetics in the photosynthetic reaction center (RC) are studied. ► Recombination time distributions at room temperature are resolved to high accuracy. ► They reflect peculiarities of hierarchical relaxation of the RC protein. ► Validity of the fractional power kinetics is shown for all relaxation components.
