Photodissociation studies of cyclopentyl bromide at 234 and 266Â nm using velocity ion imaging technique

► Cyclopentyl bromide has been investigated using velocity ion imaging technique. ► Translational energy distributions of Br originated from different conformational structures. ► The Ф(Br∗) were smaller than Ф(Br) indicated that ground state bromine was a major product. ► Multiphoton dissociative ionization is also suggested.
