Luminescence of the Cr3+ ions doped in PLZT ceramics

► Photoluminescence studies of Cr ions doped in PLZT-9/65/35 ceramic samples. ► Revealed two Cr3+ defect centres in octahedral site with high/intermediate crystal field strength. ► Also observed a spectral feature that can be associated to Cr5+ ions.
