Selected cis- and trans-p-methoxystyrene rotamers studied by mass-analyzed threshold ionization spectroscopy

► The cation spectra of cis- and trans-p-methoxystyrene have been recorded. ► The ionization energies of these two rotamers differ by about 30 wavenumbers. ► The spectral features reveal in-plane ring vibrations of the cations.
