Resonant two-photon detachment of WO2−

► The R2PD spectrum of WO2− anion in the 1.75-2.41 eV range is reported. ► Two distinct electronic bands are observed and assigned to valence-bound states. ► The spectrum is compared to the 3.493 eV photoelectron spectrum of WO2− anion. ► One of the bands exhibits doublets attributed to spin-orbit splitting.
