Filtering carbon dioxide through carbon nanotubes

► This work study the layering formation around SWCNT through MD. ► The formation of primary, secondary and even tertiary layers is observed. ► The formation of the additional layers is dependent on tube's size and gas-structure interactions. ► Low pressures primarily affect the adsorption undergone by the external surface of the CNTs.
