On the meaning of parameters of the two state model in the case of photochemical reactions under restricted geometry conditions

► A model for reactivity of excited species under restricted geometry conditions is developed. ► The model is checked experimentally for the slow exchange limit. ► Experiments with DNA and β-CD as receptors show that the model is quantitatively satisfied.
