Conical intersections induced by the Renner effect: Selected systems

► Renner effect in polyatomic molecules is accompanied by a conical intersection (CI). ► Earlier works showed that two aligned CIs will be created in the bent C2H2+ cation. ► Different results were obtained for the H2NC system in a recent work. ► Here, a more detailed investigations were carried out for several Renner molecules. ► The obtained results confirmed the earlier presented ab initio and perturbational findings.
