Luminescence of tetraphenylporphyrin by an energy transfer from photoexcited ZnO nanoparticle

► Porphyrin molecule was linked to a ZnO nanoparticle. ► The luminescence intensity of porphyrin was significantly increased by the linkage. ► The increase is due to an energy transfer from ZnO to porphyrin.
