Photoelectrochemical hydrogen production on Cu2ZnSnS4/Mo-mesh thin-film electrodes prepared by electroplating

► Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) thin-film photoelectrode was fabricated by electroplating method. ► CZTS with hollow-column surface structure was prepared. ► Mo mesh was firstly used as substrate for fabricating photoelectrode. ► Photoelectrochemical water splitting was accomplished by using CZTS as photocathode.
