Boron fullerenes with 32-56 atoms: Irregular cage configurations and electronic properties

► Irregular cages are found for Bn clusters n = 32-56 from simulated annealing. ► These irregular boron cages show strong aromaticity. ► The electronic properties like distribution of HOMO are discussed.
