Kinetic study of the oxidation of [Fe(CN)6]4− by [Co(NH3)4pzCO2]2+ and S2O82- in the presence of the tripodal ligand Tren Aminopropil

► This Letter is a contribution to a barely studied field: the effects of bitopic receptors, able to incorporate the two reactive species. ► We show the high catalytic power of tripodal ligand Tren Aminopropil on the reaction between [Fe(CN)6]4- and S2O82. ► The Brönsted equation can be used to quantify the effects and provides the value of the binding constant of the transition state.
