Fragmentation of isoxazole molecules by electron impact in the energy range 10-85Â eV

► Low energy electrons induce fragmentation of isoxazole molecules. ► Diatomic fragments are vibrationally and rotationally excited. ► Excited hydrogen atoms are efficiently eliminated in fragmentation processes. ► The isoxazole ring opens in the first step of fragmentation.
