Theoretical study on the mechanism of S2Â +Â O2 reaction

► S2 + O2 reaction proceeds only on triplet potential energy surface. ► There is not intersystem crossing between the triplet and singlet potential energy surfaces. ► P1(3SO + 3SO) is the major product. P2 (trans-1OSSO), P3 (cis-1OSSO) and P4 (3S + 1SO2) are the minor products.
