Uptake and reaction kinetics of α-pinene and β-pinene with sulfuric acid solutions

By using home-built RWW-SPI-TOFMS equipment, the uptake and reaction kinetics experiments of α-pinene and β-pinene into sulfuric acid solutions were performed at a temperature of 293 K. The results demonstrate that the heterogeneous reaction between pinenes and sulfuric acid might play a significant role in SOA formation at high acidity condition.
