Effects of solvent polarity and hydrogen bonding on the fluorescence properties of trans-4-hydroxy-4′-nitrostilbenes

Fluorescence quantum yield of trans-4-hydroxynitrostilbene strongly changes with ETN solvent polarity parameter and the basicity of the hydrogen bond acceptor.
