Paramagnetic complexes of magnesium as mediators in enzymatic ATP synthesis: DFT calculations of magnetic parameters

The decreasing HFC constants a(25Mg) in Mg(H2O)n+ complexes as a function of n demonstrates leakage of the spin density from the central ion to the ligand molecules.
