Broadband near-infrared emission from Cr4+-doped transparent glass-ceramics based on lithium silicate

In this Letter, we synthesize transparent borosilicate glass-ceramic with nucleated Li4SiO4 nanocrystals and obtain efficient broadband infrared luminescence with broad bandwidth covered the wavelength region from 1000 to 1600 nm.
