Comparative study of plasma and ion-beam treatment to reduce the oxygen vacancies in TiO2 and recombination reactions in dye-sensitized solar cells

► Ion-beam treatment can decrease the concentration of oxygen vacancies in the TiO2 film in DSSCs. ► Recombination reactions were decreased using an ion-beam treatment. ► Ion-beam treatment is effective in increasing the photo-conversion efficiency.
