Polarizabilities as a test of localized approximations to the self-interaction correction

Polarizabilities, for various SIC schemes as indicated, of the C2 dimer and the C4 chain. Horizontal lines emphasize the SIC benchmark values and ease the comparison with the other results. We see that the Generalized SIC-Slater results stay very close to the benchmark.
