Multipulse spectroscopy on the wild-type and YM210W Bacterial Reaction Centre uncovers a new intermediate state in the special pair excited state

A new state is found in the Bacterial Reaction Centre, and in its YM210W mutant. This new state charge-separated state appears on ultrafast timescale in pump-dump-probe spectroscopy.
