Nonlinear optical properties of aqueous dispersions of ferromagnetic γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles

The nonlinear optical properties of aqueous dispersions of ferromagnetic γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles, naked and coated with poly(sodium 4-styrene sulfonate) (NaPSS) are studied by means of Z-scan technique using ns and ps laser pulses at 532 and 1064 nm.
