Infrared to visible upconversion luminescence properties in the system Ln2BaZnO5 (Ln = La, Gd)

Under coherent NIR excitation (975 nm), the hosts La2BaZnO5 and Gd2BaZnO5, doped with the rare-earth ions erbium and ytterbium, are efficient upconversion materials.
