The role of H-bonded chelate rings in the organization of liquid crystalline 2-hydroxyazobenzenes

This work reports the role of H-bonded chelate rings in organization of 4-chloro-2′-hydroxy-4′-hexyloxyazobenzene, which shows liquid crystalline properties.
