Effect of the vibrational excitation on the non-radiative deactivation rate of the S1 state of p-cresol(NH3) complex

The CH3 group in p-cresol introduces low frequency modes and thus an increased density of states at low values of energy that facilitates the coupling of the intermolecular modes with those of the p-cresol moiety.
