Increasing the efficiency of the ring-opening reaction of photochromic indolylfulgides by optical pre-excitation

Strong increase of the ring-opening quantum efficiency of indolylfulgides induced by an immediately preceding ring-closure reaction investigated by a multipulse femtosecond absorption experiment.
